XTR Offroad Jeep Gladiator Roof Rack (2019-2026) — Overland Roof Rack
RFR-GLAD-FULL
The XTR Offroad Jeep Gladiator Roof Rack is a modular aluminum platform for the 2020–2026 Jeep Gladiator (JT), made in the USA. Billet CNC-machined clamps grip the gutter rails along the roof, so there's no drilling. Buy the full roof rack, or just the front or rear section as a half rack. Every kit includes 10-series T-slot crossbars and side fairings, and the full rack and front section add a front fairing, standard or with a 50 in cut-out for a light bar.
As featured on the @Arctic.Mojave build.
Why Choose This Jeep Gladiator Roof Rack
- No drilling: Billet CNC-machined clamps fit into the roof's gutter rails and tighten in place, so there are no holes in the roof.
- Full rack or half rack: Order the full roof rack, or the front or rear section on its own. Each section has its own four clamps.
- Works with the Freedom Panels: The front and rear sections mount and come off independently, so you can remove a section to use the Freedom Panels without uninstalling the whole rack.
- Modular T-slot crossbars: 10-series aluminum T-slot bars, 7 on the full rack. Two bars in each section sit on the clamps; the remaining bars (1 front, 2 rear) go where your gear needs them.
- Height-adjustable clamps: Set the rack's height on each clamp before the final tightening.
- Light-bar ready: Choose the standard front fairing or the 50 in cut-out fairing for a light bar.
- Sealed front fairing: The front fairing ships with a seal already applied to cut wind noise.
- Made in the USA: Aircraft-grade aluminum, CNC-cut and black powder-coated, with stainless steel hardware, backed by our limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.

Jeep Gladiator Roof Rack Installation+
This is a DIY, no-drill install. You build each section on the ground, set its four clamps in the gutter rails, lift the section onto the clamps with a helper, then center it, set its height and tighten. The illustrated instructions cover the front section first, then the rear.
How Long Does Installation Take?
| Stage (full roof rack) | Steps | Solo | Two people |
|---|---|---|---|
| Unpack and sort parts | 1 | 15–25 min | 10–15 min |
| Build both sections on the ground: side fairings, brackets, carriage bolts, crossbars and front fairing | 2–3, 7 | 1 hr 5 min – 1 hr 45 min | 50–65 min |
| Pre-assemble the 8 gutter clamps | 3 | 20–30 min | 15–20 min |
| Set each section on its clamps, center it, adjust the height and tighten, then add the remaining crossbars | 4–7 | 50–80 min | 30–50 min |
| Total | 2½–4 hr | 1¾–2½ hr |
Times are hands-on time for a first install of the full roof rack. A front or rear section on its own takes roughly half as long. The instructions have no sealant step, so there's no cure time to wait for.
The Step That Needs a Helper
Lifting each section onto its clamps. The front section is 55.9 × 27.1 in and the rear is 55.9 × 37.9 in, so plan on a second person to set each one in place.
Install Tip
Slide the carriage bolts into the bottom T-slot of the crossbars before you attach the side fairings, as the instructions call out. Then measure the distance between the crossbars that sit on the clamps, and space the clamps in the gutter rails to match before you lift the section on.
Tools You'll Need
- 4 mm Allen wrench
- 5 mm ball-end Allen wrench (for the clamps, not included)
- 10 mm combination wrench
- 10 mm ratcheting wrench
- Tape measure
Tighten the nuts with hand strength. Don't use a long ratchet or an extension, which can over-tighten them.
Jeep Gladiator Roof Rack FAQ
Does this roof rack fit my Jeep Gladiator?+
It fits the 2020–2026 Jeep Gladiator (JT). Billet clamps fit into the gutter rails along both sides of the roof, with four clamps for each section. Choose the full roof rack, the front section or the rear section. The full rack and front section come with a standard front fairing or a 50 in cut-out fairing.
Full roof rack or half rack: which should I get?+
The full roof rack covers the whole roof with 7 crossbars and 8 clamps. The front section (3 crossbars, front fairing, 4 clamps) and the rear section (4 crossbars, 4 clamps) each work as a half rack on their own.
Can I still remove the Freedom Panels?+
Yes. The front and rear sections mount and come off independently, so you can remove a section to use the Freedom Panels without uninstalling the whole rack.
Do I need to drill holes or seal anything?+
No drilling. The clamps grip the roof's gutter rails and tighten in place, so there are no holes in the roof, and the instructions have no sealant step.
Can I install it myself, and how long does it take?+
Yes, with a helper to lift each section onto its clamps. A first install of the full roof rack takes about 2½–4 hours solo, or about 1¾–2½ hours with two people. A single section takes roughly half as long. See the installation section above for the time breakdown and tool list.
How much weight can the Gladiator roof rack carry?+
The rack is rated for 150 lb dynamic (driving) and 300 lb static (parked). The rack itself weighs about 60 lb. Your Gladiator's roof load limit takes precedence over the rack's ratings, and it counts the weight of the rack plus everything loaded on it.
Will it hold my rooftop tent?+
Yes. While driving, the tent and anything on the rack must stay within the 150 lb dynamic rating; when parked, the tent and everyone in it must stay within the 300 lb static rating. The rack's own weight also counts toward your Gladiator's roof load limit. Tents mount to the crossbars with 10-series T-slot hardware, and the crossbars that don't sit on the clamps can be placed to match your tent's mounts.
Will the accessories I already own fit?+
Accessories made for 10-series T-slot hardware mount directly: cargo and storage cases, fuel and water cans, traction boards, recovery gear and awning mounts. To add hardware after the rack is built, use drop-in T-nuts such as our 1/4-20 10-series drop-in T-nuts, or slide nuts in before the fairings go on.
Can I mount a light bar on this Jeep Gladiator roof rack?+
Yes. Choose the 50 in cut-out fairing on the full roof rack or the front section. The light bar itself is sold separately, so contact support to confirm your light bar fits the cut-out before you order.
How much wind noise will it make?+
The rack is designed to sit low against the Gladiator's roofline without adding noise, and the full rack and front section carry a front fairing that ships with a seal already applied to cut wind noise. The rear section on its own has no front fairing. Accessories that stand tall near the front of the rack can add noise.
Can I leave it installed all year?+
Yes. The rack is powder-coated aluminum with stainless steel hardware, and it clamps on without any holes in the roof. Check the hardware before every trip, as described under maintenance below.
How difficult is it to take off?+
Each section comes off on its own. Remove the clamps from the long M6 × 40 mm socket cap screws and lift the section off with a helper. The top bracket of each clamp stays attached to the rack, so it goes back on more easily.
Can I use an automatic car wash?+
We don't recommend automatic car washes, including touchless washes. Brushes and cloth strips can catch on the rack and any mounted gear, and the strong detergents used in touchless washes can wear on the finish. Hand wash the rack with mild soap, water and a soft cloth or brush.
What is it made from, and where is it made?+
- Rack: aircraft-grade aluminum, CNC-cut and black powder-coated
- Crossbars: 10-series aluminum T-slot
- Clamps: billet aluminum, CNC-machined
- Hardware: stainless steel
The rack is designed, engineered and made in the USA, and it's backed by our limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
What maintenance does it need?+
- Before every trip, check that no hardware, attachments or accessories are loose.
- Periodically check the condition of every component, including the clamps, nuts, bolts and screws.
- Replace any nylon-insert locknut that spins on freely. The nylon loses grip after repeated removal.
Can the rack or accessories be locked?+
Not as standard. The rack and T-slot accessories use standard hex screws and nuts, so gear can come off with an Allen wrench or a 10 mm wrench. Lock valuable gear with its own locks.
When will it ship?+
The rack is made in the USA, with an intro lead time of 2–4 weeks for manufacturing and shipping.
