Universal T-Slot Mounting Plate | Bed Rack & Roof Rack Accessory Mount
Mount a light pod, Rotopax or tool mount anywhere on your rack — even the awkward spots. The Universal T-Slot Mounting Plate gives you a solid, centered mounting point on any T-slot crossbar, upright or brace, wherever a standard bracket won’t reach. It fits 10-series and 15-series aluminum extrusion, so one plate works on XTR1, XTR3 and XBRS bed racks, XO.SKLTN topper braces and 1" x 2" roof rack crossbars.
CNC-machined in Wichita, Kansas from the same aluminum as our corner brackets, it ships with rack-mounting hardware and accessory screws in both common thread sizes, so you can bolt your gear down straight out of the box.
Which size fits your rack?
Pick the plate that matches your extrusion. Measure the width of the extrusion face: 1.5" wide is 15-series, 1.0" wide is 10-series.

What mounts to it
The plate has threaded accessory holes in 5/16-18 and 1/4-20, and the matching button-head screws are in the box, so single-bolt accessories bolt straight on:
- LED light pods — Baja Designs S1 pods (amber lens): the S1’s adjustable bracket takes a 1/4-20 bolt, so it mounts to the plate with the included 1/4-20 screw. Baja Designs S2 Sport, Squadron Pro and KC Cyclone V2 rock lights mount the same way. Use it as a bed rack light mount for rear-facing scene or chase lights, or a roof rack light mount for ditch-style pods.
- Fuel and water — the XTR Rotopax Mount Adapter Plate.
- Tools — XTR Quick Fist Riser Mounts for shovels, axes and Hi-Lift handles.
- Antennas, cameras and brackets — any accessory with a single 1/4-20 or 5/16-18 mounting bolt.
Need more mounting points? Add an XTR Modular MOLLE Plate, and route light wiring with T-Slot Zip Clips.

Universal Mounting Plate FAQ
How do I install the mounting plate?
No drilling and no disassembly. The plate uses drop-in T-nuts, so it mounts anywhere along the extrusion without sliding anything in from the end of the bar:
- Set the plate on the crossbar, upright or brace where you want the accessory.
- Drop a T-nut into the slot under each of the four mounting holes and turn it so it seats in the slot.
- Thread the four rack-mounting button-head screws through the plate into the T-nuts and snug them down evenly.
- Bolt your accessory to the plate using the 1/4-20 or 5/16-18 screws in the kit.
The plate can be loosened and moved later without removing anything else from the rack. Watch the XTR rack & accessory assembly video for the T-nut technique.
Which size do I need?
Measure the width of the extrusion face. 1.5" wide = 15-series = 1.5" x 1.5" plate (XTR1, XTR3, XBRS, XO.SKLTN 3075 braces). 1.0" wide = 10-series = 1.0" x 1.0" plate (XO.SKLTN 1050 braces, 1" x 2" roof rack crossbars). The plates are sized to the extrusion face and the included T-nuts are sized to the slot, so the 1.0" kit won’t seat in a 15-series bar and the 1.5" kit won’t fit a 10-series slot. The compatibility chart above lists every rack by name.
Does it fit XBRS truck bed bars?
Yes. XBRS truck bed bars are the same 15-series extrusion as XTR1 and XTR3 bed racks, so use the 1.5" x 1.5" plate on both 6H and 8H kits.
Can I mount it on a roof rack with the side fairings already on?
Yes. Because the kit uses drop-in T-nuts, you don’t need to slide nuts in from the bar ends, so it goes on after the fairings are installed. On XTR Offroad 1" x 2" crossbars, use the 1.0" x 1.0" plate in the top or edge T-slots.
Will a Baja Designs S1 bolt to it?
Yes. The S1’s factory adjustable bracket mounts with a single 1/4-20 bolt, and the plate has a 1/4-20 threaded hole, so:
- Keep the S1’s own M5 side screws between the light and its bracket; those set the aim.
- Bolt the bracket to the plate with one of the 1/4-20 x 1/2" button-head screws included with the plate. The hole is threaded, so no Nylock nut is needed. Add a 1/4" flat washer under the screw head if the bracket’s slot is wider than the head.
- Don’t substitute the longer 7/8" bolt that comes with the S1 — it can bottom out against the extrusion under the plate.
S2 Sport, Squadron and KC Cyclone pods with a single-bolt bracket mount the same way; use the 5/16-18 screws for accessories that call for that size.
What thread sizes are the accessory holes?
Each plate has threaded holes in both 1/4-20 and 5/16-18, and the kit includes two 1/2" button-head screws in each size. If your accessory needs a longer bolt, any 1/4-20 or 5/16-18 fastener will thread in.
How many plates do I need?
One plate per accessory mounting point. A pair of light pods needs two plates; a Rotopax adapter or Quick Fist riser mount needs one.
